Our Story
Ember & Stone was born from a simple belief — that the North East deserves a dining experience that honours its land, its seasons, and its people. We source everything within 40 miles of Grey Street. What grows here, cooks here.
Our open-fire kitchen is the heart of everything. No shortcuts. No imports. Just honest food cooked with intention and served with warmth.
The Experience
Every dish passes through fire. We use sustainably sourced wood from Northumberland estates to give our food its signature depth of flavour.
Every ingredient is sourced within 40 miles of Grey Street. We work directly with farms, fishing boats and small producers.
Our lower dining room seats up to 18 for private events. Custom menus, wine pairings and event coordination included.
The menu changes every four to six weeks, led entirely by what's available and at its best. No dish outstays its welcome.
